DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) is an attack in which a system, server, or network is overwhelmed with extremely high traffic from multiple sources at the same time. This overload causes the system to slow down or become completely unavailable to legitimate users. DDoS attacks are often carried out using a botnet.
