DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) is an extension to DNS that ensures the responses you receive from a DNS server are authentic and unaltered. It uses digital signatures to verify that the information comes from the correct source. This helps prevent attacks such as DNS spoofing and cache poisoning.
